2. Data we collect
We collect the following data:
- Full name (when you send us a message)
- Email address (when you send us a message)
- Company name (optional, when you send us a message)
- Phone number (optional, when you send us a message)
- The content of your message
- Website usage data (Google Analytics), only with your consent
3. Purposes and legal basis
We process data only for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:
- Replying to your enquiry, arranging a call and preparing a quote: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR), or our legitimate interest in replying to an enquiry you sent us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Visit analytics (Google Analytics) and improving the website: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Delivering, securing and measuring the speed of the website (hosting, cookieless measurement): our legitimate interest in a secure and fast website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Remembering your cookie choice: necessary to respect your choice; the record stays in your browser (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Remembering the language you chose: our legitimate interest in showing the website in the language you picked yourself (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Providing data through the contact form is voluntary. Without your name, email address and a description of your enquiry we cannot reply; the company name and phone number are optional.
4. Recipients and processors
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties, except with processors that help us provide the service, when required by law, or with your explicit consent. Our processors are:
- Web3Forms: forwards messages from the contact form to our email address
- Vercel: website hosting; Vercel Speed Insights measures page speed without cookies
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.): visit analytics, only with your consent
5. Transfers outside the EU and the EEA
Some of the processors listed above are based, or also process data, outside the European Union and the European Economic Area (for example in the USA). In that case data is transferred under the safeguards the processor provides in line with Chapter V GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, depending on the processor.
6. Cookies and local storage
- Functional record: your cookie choice is stored in the browser's local storage (key "cookie-consent"). It is not sent to the server and is not used for tracking.
- Functional language cookie: if you change the language with the HR/EN switch, we remember your choice in the "NEXT_LOCALE" cookie for one year, so the website opens in that language next time. Until you choose, we pick the language from your browser settings. The cookie is not used for tracking.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and _ga_*) only after you click "Accept". If you click "Decline", Google Analytics is not loaded.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent: after you click "Decline", Google Analytics is no longer loaded and we delete the analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_*) from your browser as far as technically possible. You can also reset your choice by clearing this website's data in your browser settings; the banner will then appear again.
7. Retention
We keep enquiries sent through the contact form until the conversation is finished, and for no longer than 2 years. Analytics data is kept according to the Google Analytics settings. The record of your cookie choice stays in your browser until you change or delete it.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data erased
- Restrict processing
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Data portability: receive the data you gave us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing
- Lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), azop.hr
To exercise your rights, email us at info@codeit.com.hr. We reply without undue delay and within one month at the latest.
9. Data security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
